Move In Information
Info for exhibitors bringing their own materials to the show and needing loading dock access, equipment and/or assistance:
Each exhibitor is assigned a day and time to unload display materials for their booth. It is important exhibitors arrive at their scheduled times, so the most efficient and effective use of loading docks can be made. When exhibitors ignore their scheduled move-in times and a majority opt to arrive on the last day of move-in, there will be a backup and long wait to get to the loading docks on that day. Conversely, if you wish to arrive early to set up, you need to ask in advance so we can have your booth prepared for your early arrival. People not arriving on the correct move-in day may be moved to the end of the line.
If you need to change your move in time or date, please contact the TPIE Office (1-800-375-3642) or email FNGLA immediately. To receive move in assistance, exhibitors must be in line for the docks before 3:00 p.m. Exhibitors may work in their booths until 8 p.m. each evening during move in.
All vehicles being used as part of a booth display must be delivered on Friday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
To keep move in as orderly and efficient as possible all vehicles must report to a truck marshaling area to receive a dock pass. Marshalling Yard at Broward County Convention Center Marshalling Yard (Located between SE 20th Street and 22nd Street.) Refer to the Marshalling Yard Maps and Informtation links above. All trucks will have to go through the port security check points. Check point #1 is off 595 and open 24 hours. Check point 2 & 3 are open from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm. Drivers should have a valid ID and no weapons when going through the check point. Trucks will be called up as space is available on the docks. You will be allotted 30 minutes to unload. Please leave your driver with the vehicle. The Dockmaster will send you to the loading dock as soon as there is space to accommodate your vehicle.
Bear in mind, there is no oversized parking around the convention center so you will have to unload and go back to the Marshalling Yard to park. Each vehicle on the dock will be given 30 minutes to unload and move off the dock, please leave the driver with the vehicle. Vehicles who require overnight parking (over the entire show) - can drop their vehicles off on Tuesday at the Marshalling Yard at Broward County Convention Center Marshalling Yard (Located between SE 20th Street and 22nd Street).
Exhibitors arriving after scheduled move in hours and needing assistance will be moved in by the service contractor and charged for those services. Please notify the TPIE office if you are unable to set up during scheduled move in times. Any exhibitor who has not arrived to set up his booth by 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2025, will be considered a no-show and the booth(s) may be resold.
Move in assistance and equipment is provided as part of the exhibitor booth package for exhibitors bringing their own material in their own vehicles and who are on site to supervise the movement from truck to booth. The TPIE move in crew is equipped with hand carts, dollies and forklifts with a maximum lifting capacity of 5,000 lbs. Move-in personnel are available to help you move into your booth. Please assist them with getting materials into the hall in a safe and expedient manner. TPIE move in crew will not be responsible for moving an exhibitor into the hall if they feel the exhibit material is too large for the supplied equipment and would pose a dangerous or unsafe situation. Please do not tip union personnel for services that TPIE has paid them to provide.
You may bring your own handcarts or dollies for move in and out, but you may not bring any power equipment (i.e., forklifts, golf carts, Bobcats).
When you arrive at the convention center, the exhibit hall is Halls A & B, The EXPO Convention Contractors will be in the back right corner of the hall next to food & seating for help with move in, booth furnishings or signs. Edlen and the Broward County Convention Center are with them too. Registration is in the front lobby.
