"Verdant Flame" is a new variegated Raindrop Peperomia polybotrya from the Optimara Research and Development location, Nashville Tennessee. Known for its African Violet Breeding, Optimara has ventured into other cultivars. Breeder, Lawrence Holtkamp developed this unique cultivar and is introducing it to the USA market in 2023. The raindrop shaped leaf features a flame shaped variegation of a darker green center and a beautiful hue of yellow green glow. The leaf has a thin margin of maroon edging. This peperomia grows to 12-18 inches tall and has lush foliage growth that shapes uniformly.  Patent Pending

Another beautiful African Violet Variety from Optimara called “LISA” as part of its Rhapsodie line-up. Rhapsodie "LISA" is a unique, multi staged white and green variety that features the innovative LooXo filantherless flower characteristic.  The filantherless flower lacks the filament and anther. This characteristic makes the flower more resistant to the problematic western flower thrip and troublesome botrytis. LooXo varieties are more sustainable since they require fewer chemical treatments. The beautiful green chlorophyl inclusions make the flower lasts 3X with amazing shelf-life characteristics.  The White/greenish flower makes LISA very long lasting and highly durable. The inclusion of the extra chlorophyl allows the flower to maintain its vigor significantly longer in the store or and the consumer home.
