Green Connector
In January 2021, Martha Kastelein started Green Connector. With her new company she will be supporting growers around the world. By keeping her clients up to date with the latest trends and developments, and by offering (hands-on) services in Europe to clients worldwide. There appeared to be a great need in the industry for someone in Europe to connect the dots. With her many years of experience, Martha is able to meet this demand.
She came up with the idea for Green Connector because she saw that growers worldwide do not get around to certain tasks, due to distance or lack of time. This varies from visiting trade shows or suppliers to market research and practical matters, such as exploring new products or coordinating shipments. "My roots are in the floral industry, so I know what it is like." With her many years of experience – in the family business Pottery Direct – she knows all the ins & outs of the flower and plant sector.
Up to date with the trends
A special aspect of Green Connector is that Martha cooperates with a number of trend forecasters. As in any industry, it is important to know how the market for flowers and plants is developing and what future changes are coming. Everyone has busy schedules and for most it’s difficult to find the time to read up on trends or visit trend shows.
